Topics from Kansai region of Japan on functionalization and evaluation technologies of environment and energy related polymer materials.

 From the perspectives of a sustainable society, consciousness on conservation of the global environment and ecological environment is rapidly increasing worldwide. Therefore, as topics from Kansai region of Japan, this workshop is about the current status and prospects of functionalization and evaluation technologies of polymer materials related to environment and energy fields. We invite lecturers who are active at the forefront, and will be held in Kyoto, where tradition and development are integrated.

The urushi (Asian lacquer) was used for a natural paint from ancient times. In the past, the refinement technology of urushi has been developed to obtain the high-quality urushi film. In this study, I will introduce the refined urushi obtained by using the thin-film spin system.
